About Us
We are a collective of ambitious undergraduate students at Baruch College who manage a portfolio of stocks spanning across a variety of sectors
Our History
Our Education Methods
The Investment Management Group's core philosophy is that education is a lifelong pursuit and that without proper education, our members will not be able to realize their full potential.
A majority of a member's education is gained through hands-on experience, exposure to different teams, and self-initiative to explore beyond their knowledge horizon. Nevertheless, to properly equip each member for their role, our Development Team is charged with creating a comprehensive educational program. Headed by the Chief Development Officer, the Development Team holds training seminars, and homework assignments and provides suggested readings and other educational resources that cover a range of topics necessary for the professional success of our members.
At the beginning of every semester, we host educational seminars that highlight an introduction to the financial markets, fundamentals of financial statement analysis, comparative analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, and a primer on equity research. Advanced topics include Event-Driven Investing, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, Leveraged Buyouts, and Restructuring. All new members are mandated to attend as it is a part of their core education.

Our Philosophy
We work to find companies that will be able to withstand and grow in any market condition. We believe our long-term approach of holding stocks for up to two years will provide us with the time needed for our stock picks to truly thrive. In our approach to investment decision-making, we ask questions at every step of the way. By considering all possibilities of performance, we believe we are optimally positioned for success.
Investment Strategy
We use a combination of fundamental and technical analyses to evaluate investment ideas. Through our process, we perform both top-down and bottom-up analysis to narrow down macro-economic and micro-economic factors. We then employ our research to isolate idiosyncratic opportunities in all sectors.
